Carte Noire Coffee

Carte Noire CoffeeThis has caused us a real problem - with just one glug you know it's quality and the initial thought is its another 10/10 to rival the Taylor's Hot Lava Java. I'm swilling it round now trying to pick holes in it... and I can't. It's strong, it lingers in your mouth and there's no hint of fruit, nuts, lemon or any other kind of novelty coffee adjective. I just can't bring myself to give it a ten just yet - it can't be as good as the HLG can it? This was not our coffee - we blagged it off someone else. We need to blag it again though as this review needs more evidence! 9/10

SCORE!, it's winner, the packaging is kinda cool and early research suggests this is the only coffee they sell and they've done a good job. Has a very strong taste of what can only be described as coffee. A good kick and no lingering dry pasty after effects. It's been put at a universal 9 so far whilst I look into the background a little bit and wait for the second helping. I was more impressed by the fact it was French and yet tasted good. So far the French coffees i've tried have been awful. Today we found a contender.

FRANCAIS DEMEURANT EN ANGLETERRE DEPUIS 16 ANS.J'AIMERAIS POUVOIR ACHETER DANS MON SUPERMARHE UN PAQUET DE CAFE MOULU SOUS VIDE,QUI SOIT VRAIMENT "SOUS VIDE".C'EST IMPOSSIBLE ET INVRAISEMBLABLE.FINI LA QUALITE?

I cant buy carte noir coffee where i live and rely on friends and family to send me a treat from time to time with a package of carte noir, however this time i was sent the instinct instead, what a disapointing cup of coffee that made, i was so excited to have received a package and did not motice at first that it was different. It is just like the horrible coffee that we used to get years ago powdery and no flavour. Cant believe that they would be happy putting something like this on the market. I will have to make sure that i tell all those who are kind enough to send me my one pleasure to ensure that it is NOT the instinct type

Taste: 8/10. Aroma: 7/10. Value: 7/10. Packaging: 4/10. Resealable: No. Review: This is the best coffee ground coffee I have drunk to date. Bit of a nitpick but the only thing that would make this coffee better would be to have the bag resealable which will increase the value and overall score. Overall rating: 8/10. -Judge Shaun. PS: This site doesnt allow me to add new coffees to review; the ones not on here are on my blog: http://bit.ly/SUUIl4 . *On all tests I use 1.5tbs of ground per cup with some fresh milk to make them fair.
